Welcome to Groundwork East Durham
Groundwork East Durham is an environmental charity that:
- works in partnership with local people and agencies
- contributes to the economic development of East Durham
- facilitates sustainable regeneration
Established in 1986 we are one of the oldest and largest Trusts in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
We are located in the beautiful surroundings of Seaton Holme, a Grade 1 Listed building dating from 1240.
The Trust works to an annual budget of around £4m, implementing a varied programme based around the improvement of the physical environment across the Districts of Easington, City of Durham, and Sedgefield Borough.
